Ah, tis a gloomy weekend. It was overcast, cool, and I didn't see ROTS. Bleah! Basically, plans got changed around, leaving me with no chance to see the flick. But next Sunday should be a "go."
On the positive side, it did give me a chance to get a few other things accomplished and get to thinking about new fan fics and essays. I jammed out a draft of an Obi-Wan and Anakin fic (no, not slash, don't go there), so hopefully that will go up soonish. I've been reading the ROTS Official Movie Guide and in it, Samuel L. Jackson mentions that Mace Windu and Anakin have had a somewhat adversarial relationship since Anakin's arrival at the Temple, which is why it was important Anakin had to decide between helping Mace and helping Palpie. I think the moral of the story is be nice to folks on your way up because you don't know who will be deciding between helping you or a Sith Lord on the way down.
Speaking of Mace and the Jedi, during my slow progress through the ROTS novel, they have come to aggrivate me even more. Mace flat out says he doesn't want Anakin on the Council or grant him the title of Master, even before Palpatine pulls rank on the Council. And he wanted Obi-Wan to keep even more secrets from Anakin. That's nice...everybody is living a half-truth around the joint!
