Comic Con brief
Jul. 27th, 2007 09:32 pmI'm exhausted and I need to get to bed early since the Official Star Wars Fan Club breakfast is at 7 a.m., meaning I'll have to get up at 5:30. So this shall be brief. A longer account will be forthcoming.
I went to the SW book panel and the SW Hasbro panel this morning...not only will there be many toys and books forthcoming, but they will be offering all kinds of Indiana Jones stuff next year as well. The Indy toys will cover all four films; the ones shown look awesome. There will be piles of Indiana Jones books as well. There was a funny comment about an upcoming Padmé figure with the black corset dress. The Hasbro guy said, "Her, uh, top (the black capelet) comes off" or somesuch.
I'm about thisclose to just not picking up any more exclusives next year. It's becoming a bigger and bigger hassle.
I bought the R2-KT figure from the ShopStarWars.com booth and a neat little replica of the medals awarded to Han and Luke in ANH from Master Replicas for only $15. Comic Con's official t-shirt features Adam Hughes's artwork of the OT3, so of course I bought one. Even though it has a Slave Leia ;). My only other personal purchase was a t-shirt and pins from the Tokidoki booth.
The SW At 30 panel started 15 minutes late and since I had to meet my ride at 6:15, I had to leave it early. Based on what I saw, there wasn't much I missed. However, I got to see a preview of "The Family Guy" ANH episode, which I'd missed at Celebration.
All right, more tomorrow...
