I saw this adorable sketch card for sale on ebay:

And I saw this gorgeous piece by Chris Trevas on Facebook, which I fashioned into an icon:

Ow, I got bit by a plot bunny!

Trevas's art will be part of the basic card set from the newly-released Star Wars Galaxy 6 card set, while the sketch is of course one-of-a-kind.

Cute sketch.

That art is lovely. Aww father and daughter.

When do those come out?

I love "Star Wars" done in anime style. One of these days I should really go and get all of the manga adaptations. The story fits into the style perfectly.

I'm not really a fan of anime, but dang, they do a great Padmé. Then again, even the flesh-and-blood Padmé looks kind of anime -- she's got the big dark eyes and slightly "sad" look.

Yes, Natalie Portman is probably the most "Moe" actress in flesh and blood, and especially when she played Padme. Lucas and Trisha Biggar also did a great job of emphasizing that with her make-up and costumes.

All in all, she represents more of the reserved side of anime-girls-- the Rei Ayanami type, rather than the Asuka. I might've liked to see a bit more spunk, but that's what we have Leia for.

I know you said Natalie Portman in general rather than just Padme, but that's a very interesting juxtaposition for me... the only problem, I suppose, is that I remember all the people whose viewpoint on "moe" seems to amount to "Moe: Threat or Menace?" As I said, though, it's still interesting to contemplate.
