HSN, Star Wars Insider "scam" update, etc.

So, which one of you bought the $650 Darth Vader helmet or the $2500 Code 3 Collectibles Millennium Falcon signed by Harrison Ford? Just about everything on the Home Shopping Network show this evening was expensive, but perhaps due to the FlexPay offers, a lot of the VERY pricey stuff sold out. Must be nice.

TFN got to the bottom of the post yesterday about the request for a credit card number from someone on my f-list. It was LEGIT. Lucas Online personally contacted [livejournal.com profile] celosia2 and cleared up the matter. Still, the original missive and request for a credit card number was hardly professional. Where did they get customer service training? Nigeria? It's always better, legit request or not, to be safe than sorry. If something fishy comes up like that, contact the club yourself before giving anyone your credit card number.

Re tonight's American Idol: what did I tell ya?

Mailboxes and laundry baskets

According to TFN, Artoo mailboxes will roll out in high traffic areas in various cities across the U.S. this Friday. These are real dump-in-your-mail mailboxes, not cardboard display pieces. So if you're caught messing with them, it's a federal crime.

Bonnie Burton posted a link to a fabulous new Japanese product...an Artoo laundry basket. You can get Arfour as well:
