Indiana Jones To The World: I'll Sleep When I'm Dead!

First Shia LeBeouf spills the beans yesterday, now Frank Marshall confirms it today with EmpireOnline: they are working on an Indy V script right as we speak. No word on when they hope to have this thing done but they better not take another 19 years! We have a Grampy Jones as it is :O.

Who should be Indy's next nemesis, besides time? We've already done Russkies and space aliens. In the Making of Indiana Jones book, one idea George Lucas toyed with repeatedly but never used was the idea of a haunted house and having Indy play ghostbuster. With the popularity of all things paranormal these days, why not go for it? Maybe he can battle vampires or something. Everybody likes vampires. What do you all think?

I like the haunted house idea. Indiana Jones Meets Dracula would be cool, but I think they did something like that in one of the Young Indy episodes. I'll have to thumb through the DVD collection to check.

I don't remember if they ever did or not.

The Young Indy Chronicles had an episode set in Transylvania, which was collected in "Masks of Evil". Basically, Jones, as an intel agent, is sent to find out what has happened to several allied spies in Transylvania as they tried to spy on a Romanian general, who fashions himself to be like Dracula. Indy and his companions find that things are a little more supernatural than they initially seem, but in the end, General Targo is stopped, with a stake in the heart at a crossroads.

it is one of the few times in the young indy adventures that deals with the supernatural realm, even though the adult indy films all deal with things beyond the normal.

That must've been one of the episodes I missed due to Ross Perot's infomercials.
