That's what I figured, given that Lucas said he had started coming up with story treatments himself.

Now, I do actually like (most) of the post-RotJ EU, but this doesn't bother me at all. The books will still be there, even if they're not "canon" (which becomes a rather meaningless term when a story reaches mythological status the way Star Wars has). I'd rather see new stories told than see the old stories rehashed.
