Joining the likes of Russell Brand, Tom Hiddleston, David Tennant, and Chris Hemsworth is veteran British stage actor Derek Jacobi in his quest to get jumped into the Star Wars gang:

As you know, Star Wars has a fine tradition of old white guys and gals: Alec Guinness, Peter Cushing, Phil Brown, Shelagh Fraser, Ian McDiarmid, Christopher Lee, Oliver Ford Davies (Sio Bibble), Jira the fruit lady, Cliegg Lars, Jocasta Nu. Why not Derek Jacobi? I say go for it.

Ha! Somewhere, that possibly non-existent weird kid obsessed with Star Wars golden-agers is setting up an online petition to get Derek Jacobi into Ep VII. It's still weird to me that only two of those oldsters (Jira and Cliegg) have yet to get action figures, but the likes of Kitster and Wald are still left out in the cold!

And that Daily Mail mock-up picture of Jacobi is ridiculous, he looks like the world's oldest altar boy.

Wait, both David Tennant and Chris Hemsworth want on? YES PLEASE! AND ADD RDJ TOO! In fact, I'll be okay if they make this Avengers in Space with a side of Doctor Who. I will implode.
