Yeah, it'd be nice for her to go one episode without getting captured - if I have any grumble with S1, it's that. (One more thing for the CW drinking game, I guess. ;)) At least most of the time she takes an active part in getting herself out of trouble, and she freed herself in "Bombad Jedi" just fine with no help from Anakin.

I ALMOST worked up the courage to get up and ask at one of the CW panels if Padmé will ever appear in an episode without getting captured or incapacitated.

that would have been a good question. i can see her doing a little spying on some other senators or on a factfinding mission and ending up saving someone else.

IT's probably just another option for Anakin to assert his superiority over his wife, further proving that there is NO way a woman can hug another man without being romantically involved with him and/or witohut her husband getting overly suspicious and jealous.

From my standpoint, Anakin would deliver his wrath on any guy who got friendly with Padmé. Nobody's getting between them, not some other dude, not death. Padmé wasn't giving an old geezer Senator a friendly hug while she's sufficiently bundled up in a complicated outfit. That was an insanely sexy dress and the gentleman is young and handsome.

That isn't to say I think Padmé was up to no good. She wouldn't cheat on Anakin in a million years. But the set-up definitely made Anakin jealous.

Explain what?

Padmé seems to be a warm and demonstrative character. Isn't a woman allowed to hug a man other than her husband (and if she does, she's somehow cheating)? As far as I know, hugging =/= kissing. Hugging is not a sexual act, and isn't reserved for significant others. Maybe Anakin is so insecure that he would be bothered by it, but I don't think his overreaction would make Padmé stop hugging people when she feels like it.

I'm not saying Padmé was cheating or doing something wrong. She wouldn't do that in a million years and I'd personally hunt down the writers if they made her cheat :P.

All I'm doing is posting a jokey poll on how Padmé would tell Anakin what was going on.
