Ohhh-kay...

After reading in ladyaeryn's journal about a dreadful Han/Mara pairing in some crummy fan fic, I hear this tale of a demented Mara fan from a friend who went to the Timothy Zahn book signing I missed last weekend.

On one of Tim's previous visits to the D.C. area (which I missed...see a theme here?) a woman went up to him and insisted she's the real Mara Jade. Moreover, she showed him pictures circling her brother's house, her house, and the White House as "proof," claiming there's a connection among the three locations. Then she said something about having an implant in her head. Fortunately this nut didn't turn up at this weekend's signings, meaning someone finally put her in a facility.

Or maybe she stayed home writing some lousy Mara Sue fic instead.
