It Takes A Video Village
May. 2nd, 2004 06:57 pmI return from a "farewell" weekend in NYC shopping (Mom wanted designer knockoffs in Chinatown--watching people run from the cops is hilarious--I picked up some stuff at H&M, Zara, and found one of those very cool LAMB tank tops at Henri Bendel) and watched late last night the most recent webdoc at starwars.com, "Video Village." A webdoc featuring nothing but Natalie shaving her legs or George noshing on some Krispy Kremes is a fix for this desperate Star Wars junkie regardless, but this was fabulous! Lots of Anakin/Hayden, new shots of Obi-Wan and Padmé (spied a couple of new outfits I hadn't seen before), and some never-before-seen footage of Count Dooku, Bail Organa, and Palpatine/Sidious. In fact you get to see some interviews with Christopher Lee and Jimmy Smits. Nice to see 'em! There's a funny part sure to end up on the DVD blooper reel, some tantalizing action, but watch for the very last sequence.
It will leave such foreboding in your heart if you care the slightest about these characters.
