Hayden, How Could You?!
Nov. 15th, 2004 09:30 pmA little while ago there was a rumor on this Hayden list I belong to that he was going to be in Mariah Carey's upcoming new video. I desperately hoped this was an inaccuracy or perhaps one of Mariah's insane, delusional ramblings. But a girl on the list found info on the video today and posted it. Apparently it's going to debut next month and yes, Hayden is in it.

You see, my disdain for Mariah Carey goes back to my days as an alternative music snob and has continued ever since. I can't stand her songs and I can't stand her. Unless Hayden re-enacts his Obi-Wan strangling technique seen in the ROTS trailer, with Mariah as the victim, he has lost points in lazypadawan's personal stock market. Poor Hayden is too young to remember how Keanu Reeves's cheesy role in Paula Abdul's "Rush" video (1991) probably set back his career for years. Gawd, if Hayden does icky love scenes with the skank, we might have to break up over this.
Hayden, if you had to do a video, why couldn't it have been with somebody lazypadawan approves of, like Gwen Stefani or U2? No, you had to pick the star of Glitter! Just don't let her talk you into doing a movie with her! That would a crime worse than Harrison Ford taking up with Calista Flockhart.
I suppose though, it could be worse. Hayden could've done a video with Clay Aiken.
