Random blatherings II
Nov. 27th, 2004 05:56 pmMy brother finally helped hook up the DVD player in my room, which means that at last I am able to watch the blooper reel on my OT DVD Bonus Disc. And at last I'm able to watch the gag reels on the TPM and AOTC discs! (It's the only DVD player in the house with numbers on the remote.) I have to say the AOTC bloopers remain the best but there are some good ones from the OT era. My favorite is Carrie Fisher on the set of ROTJ, addressing Jabba in her Boushh costume before her voice was dubbed over. "Tell Jabba if he doesn't give me my money, he'll be forced to remain in show business on this set for the rest of his life!" Boba Fett chasing Wicket was pretty funny too.
Finally found the latest SW novel Dark Rendezvous at Borders. This one focuses on Yoda but has guest spots by Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Padmé. I hope it's good. I've been more inspired the past few days: I've worked on a new editorial and a couple of new fics. Who knew one little comic could inspire plot bunnies?
In non-SW news, I went with my brother and his g/f to see National Treasure. It's a lot of fun and family-friendly. Oh sure, it was definitely inspired by The DaVinci Code (instead of the Knights Templar and Gnosticism you get the Knights Templar and the Freemasons) and it is preposterous but it has to be the first movie I've seen in a while that makes history look cool.
