I've neglected yooooo...
Feb. 7th, 2005 09:26 pmI've been so busy engaging in Anakin fangirlism (I just joined the new community climb_anakin) and stuff I haven't posted here!
Super Bowl: Not a Pats fan nor an Eagles fan so I didn't care about the outcome. There were some good commercials, though frankly I thought the praised GoDaddy ad was stupid and little more than cheap t&a. I guess that's why the media liked it.
ROTS merch: Can't wait for April 2, though there's a lot I won't buy until after I see the movie, i.e. the soundtrack and novelization. I'll pick up the comics beforehand but they will be frozen in carbonite until my first film viewing. I saw on Rebelscum that WalMart will have a thing set up where you can take pictures with your favorite characters, a la what they did with Spiderman a couple of years ago. I don't think they will let me do dirty poses with Anakin or Obi-Wan.
Literature: I'm trying to finish The Dharma of Star Wars so I can finish my review for Saga Journal. While poking around on Amazon, I found out about another upcoming book, The Christian Wisdom of the Jedi Masters. Looks like another one ripe for the lazypadawan treatment. I already know about Open Court's upcoming The Philosophy of Star Wars. I'm plowing through LoE at the same time.
Scribblings: The book review is first (but that's a Saga Journal exclusive...you'll have to read it there March 1). Then my next editorial, the title of which came from one of my friends, heh heh. Theeeennn, another A/P viggie. Another plot bunny bit me. Then at last back to my pregnant Padmé tale. LoE has clarified and obscufated things at the same time. I will have to just wing it. Other plot bunnies keep pestering me for attention. For some reason, I've had the idea of writing a story about Qui-Gon's apprenticeship with Dooku. Then Obi-Wan keeps tapping his foot and glaring at me impatiently to write something about him.
