I suppose this list reflects what they were paid in 2005 since Ghoulia Roberts isn't on there (who didn't do much of anything in 2005). It's interesting to note that while most of the really good roles tend to go to 20-something and 50-something actresses, all of those actresses save for Kirsten Dunst are in their 30s (I think Reese Witherspoon just turned 30 this year). This means these gals are pretty much at the apex of their careers. In five years most of them won't be on there anymore. It also seems to reflect a triumph of their respective publicity machines, especially their foreign PR (if foreign exhibitors like you, you'll get hired more), because most of these gals haven't had a hit vehicle in a while. Witherspoon is definitely a box office draw, but Angelina Jolie's last flick was a hit due to her National Enquirer homewrecking romance with co-star Brad Pitt. Everybody else had hit it big like four or five years ago, or before that, and haven't had much to show for it since. Then you have the injustice of better actresses who are apparently getting ripped off...I think I've seen three or four blogs already that said "why not Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet?" Indeed. Winslet in a coma could outact Cameron Diaz on a good day.
