Marc Ecko Cut & Sew SW clothes at Macy's
Nov. 9th, 2007 06:23 pmToday they cut us loose from work a little early--three-day weekend!--and I took advantage of the time to do some Christmas shopping. Of course, there was an ulterior motive...I wanted to see if Macy's had the SW clothing from Marc Ecko's Cut & Sew line since the t-shirts are available online.
Well, indeed it was there. The t-shirts were already neatly stacked and a saleslady was putting out the hoodies. In person, they all look really sharp. I don't know if the men are going to like wearing crystal rhinestone renditions of Boba Fett, Darth Vader, or Stormtroopers, but to be honest I think they look quite tasteful. Of course, I'm a girl, so take that with a grain of salt ;).
I flipped for a beautiful brown hoodie with elaborate embroidery that cost $78. Yes, it's expensive. So I thought I'd head over to Sephora to get some of my mineral makeup and think about it. I came back and saw the only small sized hoodie was already gone! And I kept waiting to see what else the saleslady was bringing out to make a decision.
There were two types of hoodies, heavy zipper fronts and lightweight ones that are essentially pullover long-sleeved t-shirts with hoods. They had the embroidered zipper front, a rhinestone Boba Fett zipper front, and a rhinestone Darth Vader zipper front. The lightweight ones featured Vader, Fett, Yoda, and a Stormtrooper. As I hemmed and hawed over what to get, all of these people kept coming up to look at the stuff. I decided to try on the medium sized embroidered hoodie and well, it was a winner. The small probably would've been best, but the medium fit just fine. So I was 78 bucks poorer. It's a pre-Christmas gift to me ;).
So go check out your local Macy's this long weekend. It's the Marc Ecko Cut & Sew line, which is aimed at fashion-forward young men, not to be confused with the ghetto fabulous Ecko stuff or Ecko Unlimited wear popular with middle school kids.
