OT: I am here to put you back on schedule
Jun. 3rd, 2008 08:25 pmHas there ever been a wedding in the history of the world that has not had something go wrong? My brother's fiancee e-mailed me today because the company making the bridesmaid dresses indicated in a phone call that they don't have my order!
Back in March, I ordered a dress through a store here in town. I filled out the contract for the dress order, faxed it back to the store, and requested that they call me to verify they received the contract. They did. The store only charges me for the dress once it has processed the order with the company that actually makes the dresses, based in New York. I was charged for the dress and I paid it via my credit card last month. So I don't get what the problem is. Either the bridesmaid store here FUBAR'd my order with the dressmakers or the dressmakers somehow lost my order in the shuffle. Or whoever it was who called my brother's fiancee wasn't looking in the right place for my order. Whatever the case, I will have to call the store and the dressmaker and my brother's fiancee tomorrow. Waaah! Can't I just send Vader over to straighten things out? Whatever the case may be, I already paid, so somebody owes me a dress.
Update: Got everything straightened out. The girl at the dressmaker's was new and didn't know where to look for my order. But everything's cool. The dress is on schedule and the bride-to-be's blood pressure is back to normal.
