Hmm, I share a birthday with Elizabeth Bathory and Mata Hari.

Also, I read that today is widely considered the day IRL when King Leonidas of Sparta and his 300 were defeated by the Persians and it's the 66th anniversary of the battle at Guadacanal.

Not sure what this all means ;).

I May See Clone Wars on Saturday

There has to be some, er, family issues worked out, but I was handed a free pass to catch an advance screening of Clone Wars this Saturday.

My comic book store has some Hollywood connections. Studios frequently check in to see what titles are selling and the store often hosts sneak previews for various horror, comic book, and genre films. When I bought last week's "Knights of the Old Republic," the guy who I believe is one of the co-owners said, "I know you're a big Star Wars fan" and he handed me a pass to see a sneak preview of Clone Wars. My jaw just about dropped on the floor. It's at 10:30 a.m. at a theater not far from my house--and where I was going to see CW on the 15th anyway--in glorious digital format.
