In some ways, I like Twitter. It's often the fastest way to find out what's going on...all you have to do is check what's a top trending topic. It's how I found out about Michael Jackson's death, for instance. You can also find obscure articles and links. Overall, its value depends on who or what you follow (and you can avoid spammers/pornographers following you).

But in terms of finding out anything new or interesting about SW, boy does it suck. 80% of the posts are recycling other people's posts, over and over for days on end. Okay, we've seen The Worst Star Wars Photo Ever 3,729 times now. Sheesh. There's maybe 1% that's worthwhile or interesting, and the rest consists of people posting stuff like "I passed gas while watching #starwars." The worst was one guy who posted tweets constantly as he bashed AOTC scene by scene, line by line. *Facepalm.*

My immediate thought was, "I guess this means the Marvel-themed rides and restaurants at Universal are going to move to Disneyland/Walt Disney World." All of those Marvel-produced films will be distributed by Disney as well.

This is the result of a decade-long run of superhero mania. Disney wants to cash in and figures it can use Marvel's properties in many different ways, from park attractions to merchandise to animated and live action film/t.v. to home entertainment. I do not believe, as some fear, that Disney will somehow turn The Punisher into Tinkerbell. Come on, Disney hasn't cared about being entirely family-friendly since the 1980s. They just want a stable of comic book characters to print money. Though I think we will certainly see Spider-Mickey and Mary Jane Minnie figurines in the near future ;).
