A couple of weeks ago, starwars.com posted that the coffee table book "The Complete Vader," due out in October, was going to be delayed because of a "printing problem." Lo and behold, a few days later I got my copy from Amazon.com. I figured it was a delay by a few days because now it was in my hot little hands.

Now comes this announcement on starwars.com stating the new release date is now October 25, 2011:

I've flipped through the book and while the pages seem to have some static cling, once you separate the pages, they're fine. Maybe this is the printing problem but why should it take another year to resolve? I didn't notice any other problems with the book but I haven't read it in detail yet.

Consider me confuzzled (but really lucky).

10 years ago, I went to this small Trek convention in Tysons Corner, VA, called NoVA Con. At the charity auction booth there was a homemade Obear-Wan Kenobi teddy bear, complete with Jedi duds, padawan braid (this was shortly after TPM came out), and a lightsaber. It was awesome. Already the bids were way over what my meager budget would have allowed.

Flash forward to 2009 and now the Build-A-Bear franchise has a line of SW bears/clothes you can buy...there's a certain bear I really, really want:

But they need to make a Padmé bear too! I'm sure we'll see Ahsoka and the OT3 soon enough. A Princess Leia bear would be sooo mine.
