I think you have a case of Missing The Point. It's not about being a "weirdo," it's about a franchise ignoring a good chunk of their fanbase to pander to somebody else, and shopping in boys/mens departments does not somehow give you a leg-up on Fan status over other women who choose not to wear clothes that do not fit them right.
