Do you love that necklace Leia wears during the medal ceremony at the end of ANH? The Finnish jeweler that made it in 1977 still makes it today and not only is it hard to track one down to buy in the U.S., it's pricey. I found a decent sorta lookalike a few years ago at Topshop but they don't make it anymore.

Here's an exact knockoff made of sculpey on Etsy for $75:

Then there's this one that's not quite exact but it's made of metal and it's $56 from

I know this news is a few days old but Kathleen Kennedy told ABC Radio that pre-production on Eppy VII starts next year and that in January, she hopes to have a big announcement ready. Everyone thinks it'll will be about who got hired to direct. This is a reasonable assumption, since you need one in place to get the whole thing off of the ground.

It looks like we'll see pre-production next spring, filming during the summer of 2013, and the long post-production process beginning that fall. If that's the case, this has to be the fastest pre-production time frame I've ever seen for a Star Wars film. Or it's going to be a fast post-production timeframe if they end up shooting later. Usually pre and post take a long time, at least a year or so.

The world was shocked, horrified, and disgusted with the act of evil that forever shattered the peace of a Connecticut town. The Mandalorian Mercs' Little Warrior Foundation is running a fundraiser to help out the families and survivors of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre. They've raised $900 so far and their goal is $1700:

The Mercs are the largest Mandalorian cosplay club, often working events along with the 501st or Rebel Legion.
