I have to be honest, I was never a big "Friends" fan. Even though I'm going to watch the last episode to see what happens, it's not something to which I'm emotionally attached so I'm not exactly crying in my Diet Pepsi. Sure it could be funny and of course I've seen the slave girl bikini episode (with the wrong hairdo!) but its overall appeal has long eluded me. At least "Seinfeld" (from which "Friends" was originally cloned) found its humor in its characters' faults. "Friends" expected you to love these self-centered pseudo-New Yorkers as they were. I don't know which was most irritating about the show, the whole Ross-n-Rachel issue or how the characters would have children that vanished.
Hell, even Ross's damn monkey disappeared.
I've avoided the farewell hype, though I find the "All of Me" ads really
annoying. Totally wrong song on every level.
Oh well, after tonight, it's eternity in syndication.
Back to Star Wars...
The webcam is working again this afternoon/evening, this time some ILM shooting involving a certain blue-skinned babe. The lads go wild! Those gents who missed it will be pleased to know her costume is still skimpy ;).
