Happy Boxing Day
Dec. 26th, 2004 03:37 pmIt's not a holiday in the U.S. of A. but what else do you call the day after Christmas?
Yesterday was sunny and pleasant, the first Christmas I've had in oh, 15 years that wasn't cold. Like that's a problem :). The irony is having the sniffles most of the day. We tried making it to church but didn't; always a problem on Christmas morning. Oh well. We went later to my uncle's house, which was nice. They shipped in my grandmother from the nursing home and I saw some relatives I hadn't seen in several years.
As for the gifts, I got nothing SW related, as is per usual. For some reason I got a lot of jewelry this time. Plus I got a lot of clothes, some shoes, some bath/skin care stuff, and a couple of purses, one of which was this Juicy Couture bag I'd been drooling over for months. I also got $$$ which could entirely fund my trip to C3 but with my luck I'll probably have to use it to fix something in my car or other.
Today, I'm just chillin'.

Ah the creativity of fandom
Dec. 26th, 2004 05:58 pmOne thing about SW fans is that there are no bounds to the creative ways they celebrate the saga. Just when you think there's nothing SW fans haven't done or created, somebody comes along and surprises you.
Here are some pics at Rebelscum from a guy in the Phillippines who crafted a nativity scene with his action figures:

Here are some custom Santa Chewbacca action figures, also at Rebelscum:

Some Mexican guy's Christmas fan movie made only with action figures (it's in English, don't worry):

And apparently Kellogg's will make SW fruit snacks for ROTS. Man, what am I going to do with all of this crud???
