I picked up Time today and I skimmed over the review of ROTS. It's a positive one...BUT we all know the MSM has had a way of changing its mind if the trend indicates otherwise. I REALLY want to believe things will be different this time, but I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Already The New York Times ran an article where hard sci-fi authors are practically cheering the end of the saga because it ruined "science fiction." Science fiction ruined itself, but that's a whole 'nuther topic. But you know how it's been...there's too much excitement so they start throwing out the negative pieces that end up starting the bashing bandwagon. These guys are so predictable. Yet like Charlie Brown, I keep hoping Lucy really will hold the football this time.
But one thing never changes...remember when I said a few days ago that Joshua Griffin at TFN would lavish praise on the fanboy hacked up version of AOTC? All hail my psykik powerz! Most of the changes are ridiculous and made only for this guy's own weird whims. For instance, he removes the scene with the younglings and Yoda because he thought it made Obi-Wan look dumb! What the hell? Apparently the commentary is filled with this fanboy's rants on why things should have been differently. Let's hope absolutely no one cares.
Hayden continues to make the rounds, appearing this morning on Regis & Kelly. From what I've heard, it was about as embarrassing (for him) as his stint on TRL yesterday. I think that's the case for nearly everyone who goes on that show. Kelly's not bad though.
