Catching up...
Nov. 6th, 2005 09:16 pmI watched ROTS projected on a 72 inch screen last night. It looked great and after two and half months, it was cool seeing it again. My mom is in total denial about Anakin killing the younglings in the Temple. She thinks he let them escape ;). Although one of the dead padawans in the hallway were killed by a lightsaber, so there goes that theory.
Yesterday, I had to stop by Target so I went in search of new SW goodies. I found a small Vader-shaped tin with M&Ms in it and at $4.99, it wasn't a bank breaker ;).
There was a piece on the official site about the new Legacy series of books where there's more new evil and "things coming full circle" for the Skywalkers, whatever that means. Maybe the galaxy decides the Skywalkers are trouble magnets and they are banished to Earth, where they are forced to work jobs at Starbucks ;).
I'd like to take a moment to say that I'm grateful my f-list has no one like the obnoxious prats who inhabit others' f-lists. I stay away from controversial topics for the most part, but I swear half the people out there purposely friend those they know have a radically different view of the world than they do just so they'll have a reliable punching bag and a place to rant. Some LJers want debate and are happy to engage anyone, but I can't imagine it's any fun to get nothing but your positions trashed on a daily basis.
