Papa George drops some info on SW t.v.
Mar. 4th, 2007 08:20 pmYesterday, I went for a little while to a very small local con, the smallest one I've been to in years. I wanted to see what it was all about and well, it was pretty much like every small non-fandom-specific con I've ever been to: a gathering of book-reading, cat-lovin', costume-wearin', left-of-center people ;). The dealer's room was small but it had a few book dealers, a couple of ladies selling jewelry, a magick supply table, a dealer with nothing but Harry Potter stuff, a couple of costume suppliers, and somebody selling sf/gothic toys. It was at this booth that I heard a little girl excitedly snag a Dr. Who Dalek action figure. You KNOW she's the only kid in her class who even knows what a Dalek is ;). I didn't find anything I really wanted in the dealer's room but I did find something cool in the art room. One artist had on display a few SW pictures, including a really cool one of Obi-Wan in his prequel and OT years. You could bid on the art or "buy it now" if no one has bid on it for X price. So I thought, what the heck, and bought the piece. Had to bring it to an appreciative home ;).
Anyway, on to SW t.v.. There are a few reports about Lucas commenting on both the animated and live action t.v. shows over the weekend. It seems like the movie main characters are not necessarily going to be the focus of the new CW cartoon. Or something. I think.

They're also getting ready to issue those Young Indiana Jones shows on DVD, finally.
