More on ice skating and AI

Someone posted a clip of that ice dance duo I posted about yesterday. This is really cool, actually...they start out dueling with lightsabers, then they skate to "Across the Stars", and it ends with "Duel of the Fates." As foodsthatcan posted, this was from their show in 2005.

I haven't posted much about American Idol this season, partially because I feel so far behind here on the Left Coast, partially because foodsthatcan does better write-ups about it than I do ;). Anyway, I think the only mystery that remains is whether Chris or Taylor will win. Short of either one royally screwing up, the others are just buying time. Elliott's a good singer but he just doesn't have the charisma or the confidence that gets viewers to dial over and over for him. Katherine's a good singer, and obviously Simon thinks she's hot, but I've seen plenty of girls like her on this show. Kellie is there for the entertainment value which will eventually run out, Ace won't make the top three, and Paris isn't consistent enough.

Okay, that skating thing was two worlds I thought would never connect. Hope you don't mind I blogged (http://www.clubjade.net/archives/001542.html) the link; I seem to know a disportionate amount of SW/skating fans.

Lolllz, thanks for the shout-out. I agree, I still think it's going to come down to Chris and Taylor in the finale. IMO, they have the most strengths and the least damaging weaknesses.

A&P's SW program looked like a mishmash of moves from all of their previous programs, hee. The music cuts they used are typical of the style that they skated to as eligibles.

I know these skaters and I didn't even know they did something on SW. Very cool they did A/P. And the comments were too funny. Talking about monks while they were acting as Jedi for instance... The commentator didn't even know it was Padmé and not 'Princess Leila' *snorts* but he caught 'Anakin Skywalker'. Go figure.

My French is okay, so I caught the commentator's reference to "Princess Leila" instead of Padmé. Heh heh.
