There have been more rumbles from fans about Bob Eubanks's reference to the 501st as groupies and his comment on how they need to get a job during the parade...I sent an e-mail to KTLA's site about it (a polite one) and someone on the starwars.com blogs suggested sending a note via Eubanks's official site. If you do, BE POLITE. You don't win any points for being belligerent or sounding like an illiterate fool or using f-bombs every other word. Similarly, Jay Leno cracked that the 501st guys marched from the parade "right back to their parents' basements" last night.

There was debate on the blogs on how fans ought to take stuff like this. Do you let it go or do you take 'em on? I think sometimes you have to do it. Why? I may post about that tomorrow (in between finishing packing...sigh).

*LILWA = starwars.com blog acronym for "Ladies In Love With Anakin."

I wholeheartedly second that particular sentiment, too....hey, if you've got connections like that, I say use 'em, most definitely! And....can we use them too? Pleeeeeease? ;) :D I will be eternally and forevermore grateful, that I promise you.... *pleading doe eyes*

Heee. My cousin is Billy Crudup--in one of Hayden's favorite movies too! I never talk to him but whenever Billy's out in LA my dad goes golfing with him. I should see... ;)

Are you *serious*?! :) Oh my goodness, that is just *too* cool for words....Billy did that excellent voice work for the character Ashitaka in "Mononoke", a wonderfully and uniquely imaginative animated film I simply adored - soon as you mentioned him I twigged to it straightaways.... And, mmmmmm, yeah, that definitely *does* seem like something you could be lookin' into, I totally recommend it, for sure and certain....oh, please do....pleeeeeeeease? (benefits all 'round, methinks....) :) :D *chortles*

Heehee. Billy's kind of a jerk - I've only met him a few times, last in 2000 when our grandfather died... well his step-grandfather; his grandmother is my dad's stepmom. Convoluted eh?! I have a pic of my dad and Billy somewhere; none of us, though Billy's invited me to NYC on occasion! Never have gone, I should take him up on it! (IT helps also my dad used to work in "the biz"!)
