I admit I haven't looked too deeply into the official news reports (or, indeed, most other fan reaction) on this yet, but I just have something of a hard time thinking this means George Lucas severing all connections to the Star Wars projects at Lucasfilm, that he won't be returning Kathleen Kennedy's calls. Unfortunately, I'm also ambiguous about whether this is going to mean certain people are going to stop aiming at the target they're so fixed on...
