A British prisoner, serving life in the pokey for attempted murder, has legally changed his name to "Obi-Wan Kenobi." There's no reason given as to why he chose the name other than he's a big SW fan:

Once there was this article in the paper titled " Skywalker joins the force" with a picture of Luke in ROTJ.
"Oh my God! Mark Hamill died!!!!" was my first thought.
But all it was, was some policeman who had his name changed to Skywalker.
