lazypadawanBeginning tomorrow (or Monday if you happen to be in Japan), Celebration Japan tickets go on sale for Hyperspace members. The hoi palloi (non-members) can buy their tickets beginning on May 17/18.
Looking at the site, 3-day premium tickets are 22,000 yen, which is about $219, while one day premium tickets are 7500 yen, or about $75. But before you go, "Holy crap, that's expensive," look at what you get in addition to admission:
Free goodies, including artwork and even a snippet of fur from a real Ewok costume
One free autograph and photo
A meet and greet gathering that I'm sure will be far more orderly than the mobs at Celebration III
Priority lines for autographs and the store
Let's see, for $120 at Celebration IV, I got...in. Okay, so fan club membership included an additional half day, but that's about it. Let's hope that this new company putting on Celebration Japan can bring some of those touches to future Celebrations here.
