i'm hoping that Cad Bane is outside of Palpatine's plot. While he can spin things to his advantage (like, say, getting rid of several pesky senators who have been general thorns in his side should the situation arise), i'm hoping that Bane's for-hire status means that he can be a unpredictable factor in the galaxy.
i really enjoyed the episode - mostly due to Cad Bane and his team's effective lethality. Anakin/Padme just felt off - he wants to steal her away because he's on break, but does he even consider that she can't drop everything to run off, because of that work thing? maybe i'm expecting anakin to be more mature and thoughtful than he is, but clearly padme's maturity hasn't rubbed off on him.
