What's up with that hinky question about whether "you" would attend a Celebration abroad? Yeah, I'm going to spend $6000 to fly 25 hours to Johannesburg to attend a future Celebration. I don't care if they have smaller Celebrations for fans in Japan, Australia, Europe or something, but the heart of Star Wars fandom is in the U.S. of A..

We've had lots of smaller SW conventions here over the years (and in countries such as Germany) which have been of varied success. There is still a large fan base for the films here, as well as for Clone Wars, and I'm sure if there was a "Celebration Europe 2" it would do ok. Shame the last one, although it was well attended, ended up losing money and finishing off at least one company involved. I have to say that I wasn't that impressed with "CE": it seemed like a bit of a rip-off in terms of what you got for the money. Oh well, just my personal opinion. I tend to prefer general collector's shows anyway, such as "Collectormania" or "Memorabilia".
