Well, as far as I'm concerned, I celebrate the real SW anniversary on May 25 ;). But whatever. I wore my Her Universe Rebel logo necklace to work and kept checking on the whole Blu-Ray thing. I couldn't believe stuff related to SW and May the 4th kept trending all day on Twitter.

Meanwhile, downstairs the sheriff's deputies who work security always bring in a teddy bear in a different costume. Sometimes it's a pirate bear, sometimes it's a Viking, sometimes it's in Army camo, etc.. Today it was a Darth Vader bear.

I am astounded at the sheer wide-reaching effects of a thing like this. Sports Nation had a figure dressed like Darth, too.

As a die hard SW fan... I really think that "May the Fourth" is rather silly, to be honest. Less silly than "4/20" and "3/14", but still. All these pop-culture joke holidays are cute, but I don't celebrate'em (I do recognize Bloomsday, but that's neither here nor there).

I wonder, do "Lost" fans observe "8/15"? Well, after that finale, who knows...

Of course it's silly. But if it leads to May the 4th sales, freebies, etc., who am I to care ;)?

Seriously, though, are there any "Lost" fans who celebrate 8/15? Because if not... I'm laying claim to that idea right here and now.
