Not a legit excuse. LOL She doesn't have a goody-two-shoes image. She sticks up her middle finger while on the red carpet, curses like a sailor, and was smoking a bong in public back in 2008.

I'm a fan of her work and liked her awkwardness. Made her more relatable, I think.
I didn't approve of her flashing the middle finger on the red carpet. That is unprofessional. There is a time and place for flipping the bird. But still I've been a fan.
But I also didn't see her as this perfect being most of the fans saw her as.

I was astonished at how many comments I saw online that the photos were staged or faked, even after she released that oddball PR public apology and Mr. Director did the same. What, those were written by the Illuminati?

I am not surprised. A big group of Robstens will go on believing the photos are photoshopped and the apologies are fakes. They live on denial planet.

lol, totally. The majority of fandom folks I've seen have been realistic about what happened (well, if not overly and harshly judgmental, in my opinion, but to each their own), but there are definitely some insanely delusional types on the fringe. Like, dudes - regardless of the extent of whatever happened, it happened. They admitted to it. As with all gossip in the media, stuff gets sensationalized up the wahzoo, and we only know a sliver of the full picture (which is more than we even should know, in my opinion), but those statements? Those alone tell us it happened, and no amount of delusional rationalizing is going to change that.
