Star Wars Chronicles: The Prequels
Jan. 8th, 2006 07:54 pmI saw that Book Three of the Dark Nest series is out, so if you keep up with post ROTJ EU, head to your local bookstore. I also grabbed the updated Star Wars Chronology, which now includes all of the prequels and the New Jedi Order.
This is not to be confused with Star Wars Chronicles: The Prequels, which is the big and expensive companion book to the big and expensive Star Wars Chronicles from 1997. Well, it's worth the money! (You can find it far cheaper than the $150 cover price at Amazon and at Overstock.com.) There are lots of great pictures, behind the scenes information, and prequel/EU lore. For instance, Bail Organa's assistant (the Angelina lookalike) is Winter's mother. Another example is smoothing over the "inconsistency" of naming Captain Colton as the captain of the Tantive IV in one source while in many others, it's Captain Antilles. There's a section about the Clone Wars cartoons and about all of the prequel EU.
I give it five Death Stars out of five.
