A roundup of stuff
Apr. 28th, 2006 08:16 pmIRL, I had a bad day at work. I don't like to blab about my real life too much but it sucks finding out a simple request ended up a royal snafu thanks to a breakdown in the chain of command. The real screwups weren't mine but I still feel bad it started with me in the first place.
Anyway, what do I do when I'm blue? I hit eBay! And I got a Darth Vader .45 scale lightsaber from Master Replicas for the low, low price of ten bucks (not including s&h). The Joe Corroney print I ordered about 10 days ago arrived. It's the illustration of Vader in his meditation chamber with the image of dead!Padmé, from the Vader guide that came out last year. And my Clone Wars Padmé key art cel arrived yesterday.
I ended up ordering a Sith Apprentice Anakin for someone else, but passing on one for myself. In the end I thought it was similar enough to Jedi!Anakin and certainly not a penny cheaper. Evil!Anakin is hot but I sort of have a preference for the good version ;).
Referring to my post about SW music a couple of days ago, someone on my starwars.com blog referred to this page where you can find a bunch of cool SW tracks. The only thing is some of the songs are mislabeled. For instance, Weird Al did not do "Livin' La Vida Yoda."

And, after reading through the SDSWS Fan Force board on TFN, I saw whose agent inadvertently revealed the rumored date and location for Celebration IV. It was Ray Park's agent at Pittsburgh Comic Con. And someone actually called the Los Angeles Convention Center to ask about it and they do have May 24-27, 2007 blocked off. Now they may have those dates blocked without officially signing on the dotted line, but it definitely means at the very least La-La Land is in the running if not a sure thing. I also think that it means we should get The Official Lucasfilm Announcement very soon.
