When's the best time to view the stuff on exhibit, before or after the show?

If I could only buy one thing from the concession stand, what should it be?

Cameras ok?

Do people turn on their lighters during the slow songs?

After the show. It was packed before the show in Nashville. AFterward, everybody with munchkins was eager to get them home, ditto for the much older folks and all the people who showed up early for the exhibit were eager to leave too. I didn't have any trouble getting up close to anything, and the only crowds left that made picture-taking difficult were around R2-D2, and even that was manageable, I just had an impatient ride waiting for me.

I don't know about the concession stand. . . or are you including souvenirs? The big programs are gorgeous and worth the money in my opinion (though they don't include an actual program of the music, oddly enough). I wanted a T-shirt, but it was so crowded I waited until after the show. BIG mistake. All the stands were out of everything but XS in most of the designs.

I saw lots of picture taking during the shows. I took a few with my cellphone. I did see a girl in front of me get asked to stop taking video, however.

They don't wave lighters, they wave the little souvenir lightsabers. Which were 10 dollars!!!! in Nashville. I've seen them places like Spencer's for half that before.

Thanks! I'm going to one of the shows in Spokane next month, so this is helpful information for me, too.

Before the show is definitely crowded; I don't know about after.

The two big sellers at our concession stand were the programs and the lightsaber keychains. I think the former was $40 and the latter was $10. People definitely waved those around. ;) The programs are pretty, but don't really have a lot of "substance" to them.

Cameras: it depends on the venue and the type of camera. My little digital camera was let in, but one guy's big telephoto lens was a no-no. So smaller cameras and cameraphones are probably okay.

I'd buy stuff online from their official site - it's cheaper there than at the arena.

The stuff is scattered all over - I don't THINK that they pack it all away at the end of the show but they might. So I'd look at the stuff before it starts.

Cameras are fine - there's no one guarding anything.

Yes - people light up their lightsabers :)

In Hamburg it was stuffed before and after the exhibit, but I would go and look at it first (there's more time) - you simply have to box through a crowd...

A t-shirt! They have quite a wonderful one with the rebel sign! ;)

Camera's were okay, as far as I know (or nobody cared anyway...)

Afer the show in Indianapolis the concourse was completely packed with people trying to get out of the building. Looking at the exhibit items would have been impossible. It was busy before the show, but patience and determination worked well enough to get me up close to anything I was interested in seeing. It may depend greatly on how the exhibit is organized at the particular venue.

The progam is a lot of money for not a lot of substance (and as mentioned above it does not contain the actual order of music, annoyingly enough). But it is pretty, and it contains some nice notes/letters/essays by John Williams and others.

I bought a tote bag and couldn't be happier with it. It has the SWIC logo on one side and R2 built out of musical instruments and symbols on the other.

Before the show in Portland, you couldn't walk. I'm not sure about after. I didn't notice anyone waving lighters for slow songs, but a lot of the kids had the mini-lightsaber souvenirs, and waved them with random enthusiasm whenever they were pleased. The concessions were standard Rose Arena concessions, so unless you're addicted to basketball-game fare, I wouldn't get overexcited. I sort of assumed that cameras would be not okay, because I knew they were "taping" the show/the audience. I didn't see a lot of flashes, if that helps. And the Star Wars in concert is mostly the same music and narration as comes on the bonus DVD if you get the Revenge of the Sith soundtrack. But seeing/hearing it live is a thousand times more fun, and you can totally feel the heat from Mustafar -- you'll see what I mean when you're there -- and Anthony Daniels live is not something to miss. Especially if he winks. :)

Urg...I wish I can go on Friday but I can't :(

You and I also have to hang out sometime eh? Seriously, it's hard finding a fellow conservative Star Wars fan here in SD :(
